A successful weekend for Swansea University's swimming team

Swansea University’s high-performance swimming team made a splash at the Long Course BUCS Swimming Championships in Sheffield this weekend, securing an impressive 4th place overall and earning 82 BUCS points across the competition!

Leading the charge was sports scholar and para swimmer Dylan Broom, who delivered a phenomenal performance, claiming three gold medals and earning the prestigious title of ‘Athlete of the Weekend’.

Dylan also set a new BUCS record in the S14 100m Freestyle, clocking an outstanding time of 55.80 seconds – a remarkable achievement that cements his dominance in the pool.

This latest success follows Dylan’s incredible showing at the Short-Course BUCS Championships in November, where he won four gold medals, broke three records, and was named Top Para Swimming Performer of the Weekend.
