Why did you choose to study at Swansea University?
Swansea University immediately caught my attention, primarily because of its enchanting name. After diving into the university's website, I was convinced that this was my top choice for my postgraduate studies.
Swansea University has a rich history and offers a top-ranking course that aligns perfectly with my interests—MA TESOL, which I am currently pursuing. The university provides state-of-the-art facilities that greatly support students in both their studies and student lives. Also, its research fields are renowned for their high quality and are recognized as world-leading in excellence.
With all these factors, I am confident that Swansea University is the perfect environment for my academic and personal journey. Plus, who can resist the beautiful beach that Swansea University overlooks?
Can you tell us about your course and what do you enjoy the most?
I'm currently enrolled in the MA Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) program. The knowledge I'm gaining from this course is truly profound and up-to-date. It allows me to delve into the theoretical framework of language teaching and understand how to apply it in my teaching career. The balance between research and practical teaching aspects is particularly valuable.
Also, I am really inspired by the dedication and professionalism of our lecturers. They play a crucial role in fostering a positive and enriching learning environment. Additionally, my course mates have been incredibly supportive. We make it a point to help each other out in our studies, creating a collaborative atmosphere for our learning experience.
What are your three favourite things about Swansea?
My top three favorite things about Swansea are its people, nature, and living conditions. When I first arrived in this new city and country, I was surprised by the warm welcome and friendliness of the Swansea locals. They are genuinely nice and always ready to help.
The natural beauty of Swansea is beyond words. From the stunning beaches to the numerous parks that offer fresh air, there's something special about the connection with nature here.
Living conditions in Swansea are excellent, with all the necessities conveniently located in the city center and my neighborhood. Swansea is a comfortable place to live, and the cost of living is affordable, making it particularly student-friendly.
Would you recommend Swansea University to other international students?
Absolutely! I wholeheartedly recommend Swansea University to other international students. The university provides a diverse and welcoming study environment for both local and international students from around the world. Studying at Swansea University is not just about gaining knowledge; it offers a rich cultural exchange, memorable student life experiences, and much more. I'm genuinely excited about welcoming more international students, particularly from Vietnam, to Swansea University.
