Applying to Swansea University

Step 1: You must be nominated

Before you can apply to study at Swansea University as an exchange or visting fee-payer student for a semester or year abroad, you must be nominated by your home university.

If your home university is already an exchange partner, you will need to follow their selection process in order to be nominated.

If your home university is not an exchange partner, but you wish to be nominated for a semester/year abroad on a fee-paying basis, please ask your home university to email studyabroad@swansea.ac.uk so that we can provide them with the relevant nomination information to follow.

Step 2: Complete an online application

  • Click on the link below which best represents your proposed subject area while at Swansea.
  • You will need to complete the Full Year application but, don’t worry if you are coming for a semester as this will be adjusted prior to receiving your offer.
  • You may want to consult our online Course Catalogue in order to review our available courses and establish your main area of study.

One of the documents you will need to upload to your online application is the List of Courses - 2025-26 form. Download a copy, complete it and then upload as part of your online application. Once you click submit on your online application, you will be set a "task" immediately in the system to upload this document. Please do this straight away to avoid delays with your application being processed.

Please note: when you click on a link below, it will state 'UG Exchange Full Year' on all applications. Please don't worry if you are applying as a semester/PG student, you will have the chance to note this on your application and your record will be updated by the Go Global team in line with your nomination and your application information.
