Course Overview

Our four-year MChem degree builds on the three-year BSc Chemistry, offering greater depth in the major topic areas. The distinctive feature of the MChem is a substantial research project embedded in a research group which interacts with the wider research environment and has the potential to result in publishable work.

Your Chemistry Experience

Modules

You will study the following set compulsory modules and select from a choice of optional modules throughout your degree. In year three you will take a 40-credit project module specialising in Chemistry, Materials Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry. This choice is repeated with a 60-credit module in your final year of the MChem.
