Course Details

The module is aimed at registered health care professionals working directly or have an interest in developing their knowledge and skills in and around the assessment, diagnosis, and management of adults with long-term respiratory conditions in a community or primary care setting. The aim is to equip individuals with the skills required to assess respiratory conditions, highlight what requires specialist input, providing an opportunity to identify and develop their own personal learning needs. The module will cover both theoretical and practical skills around taking a patient subjective history and conducting a respiratory clinical assessment. Exploring the physiology and pathophysiology of the respiratory system and common conditions which will be linked to presenting signs and symptoms, investigations, and management of respiratory complaints supported by current clinical guidelines and best practice.
