Key Information
This project aims at producing interdisciplinary research outputs investigating the following overarching themes:
- how local food products and brands landscape urban/rural areas from a consumer and/or alternative food networks perspective;
- the spatial and spatiotemporal dimensions of local food consumer behaviour;
- how the ethics and politics of local food consumption affect marketing and public policy, including a focus on multi-stakeholder organising (e.g., cross-sector, place-based partnerships) for implementing socioecological justice in agri-food systems.
While prospective students are invited to focus on one or more of these three research themes, they are free to build upon them creatively, in alignment with their own particular research interests or in the spirit of disciplinary contamination.
