We can understand that someone leaving home and starting University can be an uncertain time for everyone involved, particularly for those that may experience mental health difficulties, have a disability, long term medical condition or specific learning difficulties.

If you are worried, we encourage you to talk to the student directly and share with them details of the many services we offer.
You can report concerns about a Swansea University student by completing the Hwb's Student of Concern form. It is important to provide detailed and accurate information to ensure any concerns raised can be assessed and shared with relevant university parties.

Confidentiality
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we are unable to share information with parents unless the student has provided their explicit consent to do so. This includes confirming whether a person has accessed the service or not.
We are unable to contact a student or force a student to utilise our service on request of a parent or any other persons.
